Working during COVID-19
Samuel James Chimney Sweep takes the issue of COVID-19 very seriously. A number of new pieces of equipment have been purchased to help reduce any potential risk of COVID-19 and a number of new working practices have been implemented.
In line with the new measures that came in on 19/07/2021 all work is permitted to continue
Samuel James Chimney Sweep still takes the situation very seriously and as such, asks that customers continue to socially distance from the sweep during the appointment. Thank you.
In line with the terms and conditions that were in place before 2020; for any cancellations made within one full working day of the appointment date (that are not in line with Government guidelines), a fee will be charged to the customer to recuperate any losses to Samuel James Chimney Sweep. As work could have been arranged elsewhere for that time, this can be the quoted price for the work that was booked in. By making a booking the customer agrees to these conditions.
The sweep will come to the door wearing the appropriate PPE.
The customer must inform the sweep before arrival if anyone in the household is showing any signs and/or symptoms or if any one is self isolating.
During the time that the chimney sweep is in the property we request that the customer adheres to social distancing.
A new digital certificate system has been implemented to reduce the risk of infection. We will require the customers email address to send them their certificate.
